Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi - Dark Lords of the Sith #6

Released in 1995 as the final installment of the six-part Dark Lords of the Sith limited series, this issue serves as a pivotal entry in the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Published by Dark Horse Comics, the series was written by Tom Veitch and Kevin J. Anderson. It was developed to expand upon the complex history of the Sith and the fall of Exar Kun, filling in significant gaps in the galactic timeline long before the prequel trilogy established the lore of the Jedi Order's ancient adversaries.

The interior art was provided by Chris Gossett, while the striking cover art was created by Hugh Fleming. The design aesthetic aimed to capture a darker, more mythic tone than the traditional Star Wars fare of the time, utilizing a painterly style to distinguish these ancient conflicts from the contemporary film settings. Upon its release, the series was well-received by fans for its ambitious scope and for providing a coherent narrative foundation for the Old Republic era, cementing its place as a cornerstone of 1990s Dark Horse Star Wars continuity.
