Supplément de Zorro #92

Supplément de Zorro was a long-running French publication that capitalized on the enduring popularity of the masked hero in European comics. Issued during the mid-20th century, these editions were part of a broader trend of small-format, black-and-white comic booklets known as 'poche' comics, which were designed to be affordable, portable entertainment for youth. Issue number 92 occupies a place within this expansive run, reflecting the era's focus on serialized adventure storytelling that relied on dynamic, action-oriented narratives.

The visual identity of this series was characterized by classic pulp-style cover art, often repurposed or heavily inspired by established illustrations of Zorro and the western genre. These supplements served as a bridge between the American serial legacy and French publishing houses like Éditions Impéria, which specialized in bringing fast-paced heroic narratives to mass-market newsstands. As a product of its time, the design emphasized clarity and dramatic tension, aiming to satisfy a readership that appreciated the archetype of the righteous outlaw fighting against corruption.
