Supplément de Zorro #87

Supplément de Zorro was a long-running French comic publication that emerged during the mid-20th century, a period when American adventure heroes enjoyed immense popularity in European markets. These pocket-sized booklets were designed for affordability and portability, catering to youth readers who sought serialized adventures featuring the iconic masked vigilante. They served as a localized platform for both reprints of imported strips and original content produced by regional studios, reflecting the era's fascination with pulp fiction archetypes.

The editorial direction of the series focused on high-action narratives that emphasized the swashbuckling nature of the character, often utilizing stark black-and-white graphics typical of the period's printing constraints. While the specific creative teams for individual issues were often uncredited due to the studio-style production common in French comics at the time, the aesthetic adhered to established heroic tropes. The series was well-regarded by collectors of the genre for its consistency in maintaining the adventurous spirit of the Zorro mythos across many years of publication.
