Supplément de Zorro #88

Supplément de Zorro was a long-running French comic publication that brought the adventures of the masked vigilante to European readers during the mid-20th century. Issue #88 emerged as part of the series' established tradition of serialized storytelling, which frequently combined American newspaper strip reprints with local editorial content. These publications were instrumental in shaping the popularity of Western-themed comics in post-war France, serving as an accessible and affordable format for youth consumption.

The design and aesthetic of these issues typically leaned into the high-contrast, dramatic style favored by the era's adventure comics. While many of the interior strips featured work by various artists contributing to the Zorro mythos under license, the covers often utilized stylized, dynamic illustrations meant to entice readers on newsstands. The series was generally received as a staple of the French 'petit format' comic market, appreciated for its consistent characterization and the enduring appeal of the Zorro icon.
