The Amazing Spider-Man #548

The Amazing Spider-Man #548, published in February 2008, serves as the second chapter of the 'One Moment in Time' era following the controversial 'One More Day' storyline. Written by Marc Guggenheim with pencils by Salvador Larroca, the issue continues the exploration of Peter Parker's life after his secret identity was restored and his marriage to Mary Jane Watson was erased from continuity. This period of the series was defined by a pivot toward a 'Brand New Day' status quo, intended to return the character to a younger, more classic iteration of his traditional struggles.

Salvador Larroca provided the interior art for this issue, utilizing his signature detailed and grounded style to navigate the emotional fallout of the preceding arc. The creative team aimed to re-establish the core elements of the Spider-Man mythos, focusing on the tension between Peter's personal development and his responsibilities as a hero. While the editorial mandate to reset the status quo sparked significant debate among longtime fans, this specific issue is noted for its focus on the procedural aspects of Peter's new reality and his interactions with the wider Marvel Universe of the time.
