The Green Lantern Corps #207

The Green Lantern Corps #207, published in December 1986, arrived at a pivotal moment for DC Comics following the conclusion of the seminal Crisis on Infinite Earths limited series. This issue serves as a late installment in the title's original run, which explored the vast, intergalactic organization of peacekeepers that expanded the scope of the Green Lantern mythos beyond Hal Jordan's solo adventures on Earth.

The issue features work by writer Steve Englehart and artist Joe Staton, a creative team noted for their long-form storytelling and character-driven approach to the Corps. Their run was characterized by an attempt to balance the cosmic scale of the organization with the internal interpersonal conflicts of a diverse, alien cast, reflecting the broader editorial shift of the mid-1980s toward more complex, serialized narratives in superhero comics.
