The Marvel Saga The Official History of the Marvel Universe #19

Marvel Saga was a limited series launched in 1985 to provide a chronological retelling of the Marvel Universe's history. Conceived by editor-in-chief Jim Shooter, the series was intended to bridge the gap for new readers who found the burgeoning continuity of decades of comic books increasingly difficult to navigate. Each issue synthesized major storylines and character origins, organizing them into a cohesive narrative that felt like an authoritative record of the company's mythos.

The nineteenth issue of the series specifically focuses on the mid-1970s era of Marvel comics. The cover and interior documentation were presented in a style consistent with the project's goal of serving as a definitive archive. While the series was praised for its utility in clarifying complex plot threads, it remains a notable example of 1980s editorial efforts to standardize intellectual property history and provide a streamlined entry point for historical continuity.
