The Savage She-Hulk #24

The Savage She-Hulk #24, published in 1982, arrived during the final stages of the character's original solo series. Created as a female counterpart to the Incredible Hulk by Stan Lee and John Buscema, the title explored Jennifer Walters' struggle to balance her legal career with her gamma-powered alter ego. This issue represents the waning period of the title's initial run, which aimed to provide a more nuanced, character-driven perspective on the Hulk mythos compared to the traditional rampage-oriented narratives of the time.

The issue features cover art and interior contributions typical of the period's house style, emphasizing the transition of the character into a more grounded, episodic format. While the series did not reach long-term commercial success in its original 25-issue volume, it succeeded in establishing the She-Hulk as a permanent fixture of the Marvel Universe. Critics of the era generally appreciated the character's wit and distinct personality, which helped her transition seamlessly into ensemble roles in the Avengers and Fantastic Four shortly after this series concluded.
