Thor Annual #6

Thor Annual #6, published by Marvel Comics in 1977, stands as a notable entry in the Bronze Age of comic books. It was crafted during a period when Marvel frequently used annuals to publish self-contained, high-stakes narratives that stood apart from the monthly continuity of the primary Thor title. The issue is historically significant for featuring a team-up between Thor and the Eternals, characters created by Jack Kirby who were then being integrated into the broader Marvel Universe lore.

The issue features a story written by Roy Thomas and illustrated by John Buscema and Tom Palmer. Buscema, long regarded as one of the definitive artists for the character of Thor, employed his signature muscular style and dynamic composition to depict the cosmic scale of the Eternals. The collaboration between Thomas and Buscema was well-received by fans of the era for its balance of mythological grandeur and the grounded, action-oriented storytelling that defined Marvel's output throughout the late 1970s.
