Tougen Anki: La Leyenda de la Sangre Maldita #5

Tougen Anki: La Leyenda de la Sangre Maldita is a dark fantasy manga series created by mangaka Yura Urushibara. It began serialization in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion in 2020. The narrative centers on Shiki Ichinose, a young man who discovers his heritage as an oni, thrusting him into a centuries-old conflict between humanity and his own kind. The series is noted for its intense combat sequences and a bold, aggressive aesthetic that emphasizes the monstrous nature of its protagonists.

The fifth volume serves as a critical juncture in the early development of the story, further fleshing out the complex power dynamics and the moral ambiguity of the conflict between the Momotaro Agency and the oni factions. Urushibara’s art style, characterized by heavy line work and dynamic paneling, is designed to evoke a sense of kinetic energy and psychological tension. Upon its release, the volume was well-received by readers of the seinen and shonen demographics who appreciate folklore-inspired supernatural battles and character-driven world-building.
