X-Men '97: Strike Files Infinity Comic #9

The X-Men '97: Strike Files Infinity Comic series was commissioned by Marvel to serve as a digital-first companion to the 2024 animated revival of the 1990s X-Men cartoon. Released on the Marvel Unlimited platform, the series was designed to provide expanded context and tactical data regarding the characters and technology featured in the show, bridging the narrative gaps between episodes while leaning into the nostalgic aesthetic of the original source material.

Issue #9 of the Strike Files was crafted to align with the visual and narrative tone of the ongoing animation, utilizing a format optimized for vertical mobile reading. The creative team focused on blending classic comic book tropes with the updated design language of the new series. Reception among fans of the animated show has been generally positive, as the issue offers additional character depth and lore that complements the fast-paced nature of the televised episodes.
