Provenance

Where it came from

The X-Men '97: Strike Files Infinity Comic series was commissioned by Marvel to serve as a digital-first companion to the 2024 animated revival of the classic X-Men: The Animated Series. These short-form, vertical-format comics were designed to bridge the gap between episodes, offering fans deeper insight into the roster, mutant powers, and the socio-political context of the show's 1990s-inspired setting.

Issue #7 follows the established editorial direction of the series, utilizing a combination of character bios, schematics, and supplemental lore to expand upon the animated narrative. The visual style relies on clean, accessible digital layouts tailored for mobile consumption, reflecting a modern production approach that honors the legacy of the original Fox Kids series while maintaining continuity with the refined aesthetics of the Disney+ revival.
