Where it came from
X-Men '97: Strike Files Infinity Comic #8 was released as part of a digital-first companion series produced by Marvel Comics to coincide with the 2024 Disney+ animated series, X-Men '97. The series was designed to expand upon the lore and character dynamics of the show, providing readers with supplementary technical profiles and narrative snapshots that deepen the context of the mutant experience within this specific iteration of the Marvel Universe.
The Strike Files series utilizes the 'Infinity Comic' vertical scrolling format, a design choice curated by Marvel’s editorial team to cater to mobile-first reading habits. By featuring streamlined art and concise character data, the publication serves as an archival tool for fans, bridging the gap between the episodes while maintaining the high-contrast, nostalgic aesthetic that defines the revival of the classic 1990s animated style.
