Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Television line in 2015, this figure depicts the iconic 'Alien' antagonist from the 1993 episode 'Fallen Angel' in the first season of The X-Files. The figure captures the creature’s distinctively elongated, angular head and slender, ominous silhouette, serving as a nostalgic tribute to the show's early exploration of extraterrestrial life and government cover-ups.
The design follows Funko's signature aesthetic, balancing the grotesque nature of the television prop with the simplified, stylized proportions that define the brand. It was developed during a period of significant growth for Funko’s licensed products, aiming to appeal to fans of 1990s cult science fiction. The figure was generally well-received by collectors for its accurate color palette and ability to distill a complex practical effect into a recognizable, palm-sized collectible.
