Big Boy

The Bob's Big Boy mascot, an icon of mid-century American diner culture, originated in 1936 when Bob Wian created the character to represent his California restaurant chain. The design, featuring a young boy in checkered overalls clutching a double-decker burger, was inspired by a local customer named Richard Woodruff. Over the decades, the statue became a ubiquitous fixture outside franchise locations, solidifying its place as a symbol of the post-war roadside era.

This Funko Pop! Digital collectible, numbered 6 in the series, reimagines the classic mascot through the lens of modern digital scarcity. Released as part of Funko's foray into blockchain-based collectibles, the figure maintains the character's signature pose and vibrant color palette while adapting the aesthetic to the stylized, large-headed vinyl look that defines the Funko brand. It reflects the company's efforts to blend traditional character licensing with contemporary digital asset trends.
