Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Ad Icons series, this figure reimagines Target's iconic mascot, Bullseye the dog, dressed as the eccentric Jurassic Park founder John Hammond. The design incorporates Hammond's signature ivory-topped cane, straw hat, and light-colored linen attire, blending the corporate branding of the retailer with the cinematic legacy of the 1993 Steven Spielberg film.
The figure was produced to celebrate the intersection of pop culture nostalgia and brand marketing. Funko's Ad Icons line consistently focuses on anthropomorphizing corporate mascots to capitalize on collector sentimentality. This particular design was well-received by fans of both the Target brand and the Jurassic Park franchise, serving as a whimsical homage that highlights the trend of cross-branding in modern collectible culture.
