Chester Cheetah [Diamond Funko Shop]

Chester Cheetah first appeared as the official mascot for Frito-Lay's Cheetos in 1986, created by the advertising agency DDB Worldwide. Designed to appeal to a younger demographic through his cool, mischievous persona, the character evolved from a sophisticated, sunglasses-wearing cat into a skateboarding, snack-obsessed icon. This specific Funko Pop! iteration, numbered 77 in the Ad Icons line, was released as a Diamond Collection variant, featuring a glitter-covered finish intended to provide a premium, collectible aesthetic to the familiar character design.

The Ad Icons series was launched by Funko to celebrate influential figures in corporate branding and advertising history. These figures are typically designed to mirror the stylized, minimalist proportions characteristic of the Pop! vinyl aesthetic, while maintaining key identifying features such as Chester's signature spots and dark glasses. Upon its release via the Funko Shop, the item was received as a nostalgic piece for pop culture enthusiasts, highlighting the enduring impact of 1980s and 90s television marketing campaigns.
