Where it came from
Cassidy, formerly known as McCree, was released as part of the Funko Pop! Games line to coincide with the rollout of Overwatch 2. The figure depicts the character in his updated appearance for the sequel, reflecting his redesign as the game transitioned to a free-to-play live service model. Funko designed this iteration to capture his iconic Western-inspired silhouette while incorporating the nuanced aesthetic shifts Blizzard Entertainment implemented for the franchise relaunch.
The figure features the character’s signature mechanical arm and rugged cowboy attire, maintaining the stylized, oversized head proportions characteristic of the Pop! brand. These figures are produced by Funko to cater to the dedicated Overwatch player base, serving as a tangible manifestation of the evolving character roster. Since its debut, the figure has been received as a standard entry in the extensive Overwatch series, favored by collectors for its role in documenting the character's aesthetic evolution within the video game landscape.
