Where it came from
The Donkey With Waffles Pop! vinyl figure was produced by Funko as part of their Pop! Movies line, specifically honoring the iconic scene from the 2001 DreamWorks animated feature, Shrek. The figure commemorates the character's enthusiastic culinary request, a moment that solidified Donkey's personality in popular culture. It is designed to capture the whimsical aesthetic of the film while incorporating a unique scent feature intended to evoke the theme of the character's breakfast preference.
Funko’s design team utilized their standard stylized aesthetic, featuring the signature oversized head and simplified bodily proportions typical of the brand. This particular iteration, marked as number 1625 in the series, was released to appeal to both long-time fans of the franchise and collectors of scented variants. Like many figures in the Pop! Movies collection, it serves as a tactile tribute to cinema history, prioritizing character recognition and nostalgic appeal over anatomical accuracy.
