Fry Guys (Orange & Blue) (2-Pack)

The Fry Guys Pop! figures were released by Funko as part of their Ad Icons series, a collection dedicated to the historical mascots of major commercial brands. These characters, originally introduced by McDonald's in the 1980s as the 'Fry Kids,' were redesigned to specifically evoke the nostalgic appeal of vintage fast-food advertising. The figures capture the whimsical, fuzzy appearance of the original commercials, appealing to a demographic of collectors who grew up during the height of the brand's expansive marketing campaigns.

Funko’s design team emphasized the distinct, blocky silhouettes and bright color palettes associated with the characters, opting for a simplified aesthetic that translates well into the signature stylized vinyl format. The decision to release them as a two-pack reflects the character's traditional presentation in pairs within television spots. Upon release, the set was received as a quintessential example of pop culture nostalgia, finding a secure place among enthusiasts of corporate branding history and vintage toy culture.
