Where it came from
The Handsome Jack (Gold) Funko Pop figure was released as part of the Pop! Games series, specifically commemorating the aesthetic and character legacy of the Borderlands franchise. The figure depicts Handsome Jack, the iconic antagonist of the series, rendered in the distinctive, stylized vinyl aesthetic that defines the Pop! line. This particular gold variant was produced as a specialty item, intended to serve as a high-visibility chase or exclusive piece for dedicated fans of the Borderlands universe.
The design of this figure leans into the hyperbolic, exaggerated features characteristic of the Funko brand, emphasizing the character's signature mask and sharp, business-formal attire. As an entry in the Borderlands 3 collection, it draws from the franchise's enduring popularity and its distinct cel-shaded art style. Upon its release, it was received primarily as a collectible trophy for long-term fans of the series, functioning as a metallic-finished homage to one of gaming's most recognized villains.
