Hanuman (Polystone)

The Hanuman Pop! figure was released as part of the Pop! Asia series, a branch of Funko’s collection dedicated to honoring diverse cultural figures, deities, and folklore characters from across the Asian continent. Released under the Legendary Creatures & Myths banner, this piece represents the central protagonist of the Hindu epic Ramayana. The design aims to capture the essence of the deity, depicting him in his traditional monkey-like form while adhering to the stylized, large-eyed aesthetic that characterizes the Pop! vinyl line.

The item was produced to bring global representation to the Pop! format, appealing to both collectors of mythology-themed figures and those interested in cultural iconography. As with other figures in the Asia series, the design process focused on balancing Funko's signature minimalism with the distinct attributes of Hanuman, such as his mace, or Gada, which symbolizes strength. Upon release, the figure was generally received as a respectful and decorative nod to a significant mythological figure, though it remains a niche item primarily sought after by collectors of the Pop! Asia catalog.
