Where it came from
Released in 2022 as part of the extensive Funko Pop! Disney line, this figure of Jack Skellington was produced specifically for the Hot Topic Expo event. It serves as a stylized commemoration of The Nightmare Before Christmas, the 1993 stop-motion musical produced by Tim Burton and directed by Henry Selick. The figure represents Funko's ongoing effort to revisit core characters from iconic cult films through varied artistic interpretations.
The design follows the signature Pop! aesthetic, characterized by a large, square-shaped head, small black eyes, and a minimalist body frame. As part of the numbering sequence, it occupies the 1168 slot, positioning it within a modern wave of collectibles that emphasize specific event-based variants. Upon its release, it was received primarily by dedicated collectors of the franchise who track the myriad aesthetic iterations of the Pumpkin King.
