Where it came from
Zero As The Chariot was released as part of the Pop! Disney line, specifically celebrating the 30th anniversary of Henry Selick's 1993 stop-motion classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas. This piece draws inspiration from the film's whimsical aesthetic, reimagining Jack Skellington's spectral dog, Zero, as a figure integrated into the tarot-themed Chariot motif, a creative departure from standard character poses in the Pop! range.
The figure was produced as a Hot Topic exclusive, reflecting the long-standing collaboration between Funko and the retailer to provide thematic variations for niche collectors. The design team focused on translating the film's gothic, Burtonesque charm into the stylized, oversized-head silhouette characteristic of Funko products, ensuring the translucent elements of the ghost dog remained a focal point of the final molded product.
