Where it came from
Kitsune Mask Franny was released as part of the Funko Pop! Digital series, which debuted in the early 2020s as a hybrid of physical collectibles and non-fungible tokens. This specific figure is rooted in the Funime and Cosplay collection, a thematic line created to celebrate the aesthetic fusion of traditional Japanese folklore and modern anime-inspired costume play.
The character design reflects the iconic imagery of the Kitsune, or fox spirit, characterized here by a stylized mask worn by the character Franny. The figure was produced as a limited-edition digital asset that collectors could redeem for a corresponding physical vinyl figure, a process designed to bridge the gap between digital scarcity and traditional shelf-display collectibles.
