Where it came from
Kitty Pryde with Lockheed was released as part of the Funko Pop! Marvel line, specifically serving as a Walgreens exclusive. The figure depicts the X-Men member Kitty Pryde, also known as Shadowcat, alongside her faithful alien companion, Lockheed, a small, dragon-like creature that has been a staple of her character arc since their introduction in the 1980s X-Men comics.
The design draws heavily from the classic X-Men aesthetic, emphasizing the bond between the mutant heroine and the extraterrestrial scout. Funko designers aimed to capture the iconic pairing by including Lockheed perched on Kitty's shoulder, a nod to their long-standing partnership in Marvel literature. Upon release, the figure was well-received by X-Men fans and collectors who appreciated the inclusion of the character's signature companion.
