Pennywise & Wagon

The Pennywise & Wagon Pop! Town set, released as number 49 in the Pop! Town series, draws inspiration from the 2017 adaptation of Stephen King’s IT. This piece depicts the iconic antagonist, Pennywise the Dancing Clown, alongside the eerie, rusted neighborhood wagon that serves as a haunting prop within the film’s atmosphere. The set was created to expand Funko’s stylized representation of the IT franchise, moving beyond standard figures to include environmental storytelling elements that capture specific, unsettling imagery from the Derry setting.

The design of the figure reflects the characteristic Funko aesthetic, featuring the large-headed, wide-eyed proportions common to the brand, while the wagon serves as a detailed companion piece. Funko designers prioritized recognizable motifs from the film, such as the clown’s distinctive ruff and the weathered textures of the wagon, to appeal to collectors of both horror memorabilia and pop culture vinyl figures. It was received as a niche addition to the broader IT collection, catering to fans looking for diorama-style displays rather than individual characters.
