Where it came from
Ramathorn, numbered 581 in the Pop! Movies line, was released to coincide with the enduring cult status of the 2001 comedy film Super Troopers. The figure depicts the character Thorny, played by Jay Chandrasekhar, capturing his signature Highway Patrol uniform, mustache, and authoritative pose. This release served as a nod to the dedicated fan base that grew around the Broken Lizard troupe's humor in the years following the film's theatrical debut.
The design follows the standard aesthetic conventions of Funko's vinyl figures, utilizing the brand's signature enlarged head and minimalist features to represent the character. Created as part of a wave commemorating the sequel, Super Troopers 2, the figure was intended to bridge the gap between long-time fans of the original movie and newer audiences. It was received as a nostalgic piece of memorabilia that highlights the film's distinct satirical take on law enforcement culture.
