Where it came from
Sark, the primary antagonist from the 1982 cult classic film Tron, was released as part of the Funko Pop! Pez line under number 404. This series blended the classic Pop! aesthetic with the vintage appeal of collectible Pez dispensers, a design choice intended to capture the nostalgia of 1980s pop culture for a modern audience.
The figure was created during Funko's extensive expansion into various licensed properties, utilizing the distinct digital-inspired armor and red-hued aesthetic that defined Sark's visual identity in the original film. It arrived as part of a wider wave of Tron-themed merchandise, reflecting the enduring interest in the franchise's unique aesthetic long after its theatrical release.
