Where it came from
Scaramouche, the self-proclaimed Greatest Flute-Playing Assassin in All the World, was released as part of the Funko Pop! Animation line under number 836. The figure draws directly from his appearance in the fifth season of the revived Samurai Jack series, which aired on Adult Swim in 2017. His design captures his distinct robotic features and his signature musical instrument, reflecting the show's dark, cinematic shift in tone during its final chapter.
The figure was created to celebrate the character's breakout role as a charismatic, recurring antagonist who famously sought to defeat Jack to impress Aku. Funko’s design team leaned into the character's expressive, flamboyant personality, emphasizing his metallic aesthetic and his pose with his flute-sword. The release was well-received by fans of the series who appreciated the representation of the final season's unique additions to the show's rogues' gallery.
