Scorpion & Sub-Zero (2 Pack)

The Scorpion and Sub-Zero two-pack was released as part of the Funko Pop! Games line to celebrate the enduring legacy of the Mortal Kombat fighting game franchise. These figures were produced to capture the iconic rivalry between the two most recognizable characters in the series, translating their gritty, martial arts-inspired designs into the stylized, oversized-head aesthetic characteristic of the Funko brand. The release coincided with a period of renewed interest in the franchise's history and served as a nod to long-term fans of the arcade classics.

The design of these figures draws heavily from the classic ninja aesthetics established in the early 1990s. Scorpion is depicted in his signature yellow garb with a masked face, while Sub-Zero is rendered in his traditional blue ensemble. The creative team aimed to distill the complex, lethal designs of the original pixelated sprites into a minimalist vinyl format. Upon release, the set was well-received by the collecting community for its faithful color palettes and the novelty of packaging the two central antagonists together, solidifying its place as a staple for gaming-themed collections.
