Where it came from
Skorge was released as part of the Pop! Games series, specifically celebrating the Gears of War franchise. Introduced to commemorate the intense aesthetic of the Locust Horde, the figure captures the high priest and leader of the Kantus monks. It was designed to translate the character's intricate, skeletal armor and dual-bladed staff into the signature Funko aesthetic, focusing on the character's distinctively terrifying silhouette from the second entry in the series.
The figure reflects the design philosophy of the Gears of War line, which prioritizes the gritty and weathered textures of the source material while maintaining the standardized, wide-eyed proportions of the Pop! brand. Upon its release, it was well-received by fans of the franchise who sought to complete their Locust collection, serving as a prominent representation of one of the series' most formidable antagonists.
