Where it came from
The Sersi Pop! figure was released as part of the initial merchandise rollout for the 2021 Marvel Studios film Eternals, directed by Chloé Zhao. Produced by Funko as part of their long-running Marvel line, this figure portrays the character as she appears in the cinematic adaptation of the Jack Kirby-created comic book team. The figure reflects the film's aesthetic focus on updated, grounded costume designs that prioritize ancient, celestial-inspired textures over the traditional spandex of early Marvel comics.
Designed within Funko's signature stylized aesthetic, the Sersi figure features the characteristic oversized head and simplified proportions intended to capture the likeness of actress Gemma Chan. As a standard release in the 728 slot, it was distributed broadly alongside the rest of the Eternals set to coincide with the film's theatrical release. The line was met with typical collector interest, serving as a tie-in product that emphasizes the expansion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's roster of characters.
