Where it came from
The Sersi figure, designated number 741 within the Pop! Marvel series, was released by Funko in 2021 to coincide with the cinematic debut of the film Eternals. As part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe merchandise line, this figure captures the character's updated aesthetic from the feature film, representing a departure from traditional comic book appearances through a more muted, earth-toned costume design that reflects the film's broader mythological tone.
The design of the figure, illustrated by Funko's internal creative team, focuses on translating the character's specific onscreen silhouette and signature color palette into the brand's iconic stylized form. Like many figures in this wave, it was intended to serve as a collectible tie-in for fans of the Marvel Studios production, receiving a standard reception as a faithful, mass-produced representation of the character portrayed by Gemma Chan.
