Where it came from
Sesshomaru's Mother, a mysterious and elegant figure from the InuYasha franchise, was immortalized as a Funko Pop figure as part of the Pop! Animation line. The character originates from Rumiko Takahashi's seminal manga series, where she is introduced as a powerful daiyōkai and the consort of the Great Dog Demon, Toga. Her appearance in the anime series InuYasha: The Final Act provided significant depth to the lore surrounding Sesshomaru’s heritage, positioning her as a stoic, detached, and formidable presence who possesses the Meido Stone.
The figure, numbered 1595, was designed to capture her distinct regal aesthetic, including her signature long silver hair, detailed kimono, and the fur stole common to her lineage. Funko’s design team focused on translating her refined, aloof expression into the company's trademark stylized form. Released to celebrate the enduring popularity of the InuYasha series, the figure was well-received by fans who had long awaited merchandise representing the more enigmatic characters from the franchise’s concluding chapters.
