Seventh Son Eddie

The Seventh Son Eddie digital Pop! figure was released as part of a limited-edition series tied to the legacy of Iron Maiden and their 1988 studio album, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. This digital collectible translates the iconic Derek Riggs artwork—which famously depicts the band's mascot, Eddie, in a surreal, icy, and dismembered state—into the stylized, vinyl-inspired aesthetic characteristic of the Funko Pop! brand. It was developed to bridge the gap between traditional physical vinyl collecting and the emerging market for digital assets, focusing on high-fidelity recreations of the band's most recognizable visual history.

The design seeks to capture the chilling atmosphere of the original album cover, which represents a pinnacle of the collaboration between Iron Maiden and Derek Riggs. Riggs, known for his intricate and often grotesque illustrations for the band, provided the foundational aesthetic for the mascot that helped define heavy metal imagery throughout the 1980s. As a digital release, the item was received as a niche pursuit for completist collectors who sought to honor the band's discography through modern, tech-forward mediums, maintaining the recognizable oversized-head silhouette while preserving the specific, haunting details of the Seventh Son era.
