Where it came from
The Glow-in-the-Dark Skeletor Pop! figure, designated number 73 in the Retro Toys line, was released as a variant within Funko’s broader Masters of the Universe collection. This piece pays homage to the iconic 1980s Mattel action figure, capturing the villain’s classic hood and skeletal aesthetic while incorporating phosphorescent material to evoke the nostalgic feel of vintage glow-in-the-dark toys.
The design follows Funko’s standardized stylized vinyl aesthetic, emphasizing the character's signature purple hood and chest harness. It was received by the collecting community as a high-demand variant, prized for its functional glow effect which distinguishes it from the standard Skeletor release. The figure sits within a series designed to leverage the enduring cultural footprint of the Eternia saga.
