Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Movies series, the Slim figure immortalizes the iconic antagonist from the 1988 cult classic horror-comedy film, Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Produced by the Chiodo Brothers, the film has long been celebrated for its inventive practical effects and its unique blend of whimsical, carnival-themed imagery with traditional creature-feature horror. This collectible captures the character's distinct oversized green hair and clown attire, reflecting the heightened, surreal aesthetic that defines the franchise's visual legacy.
The design of the figure adheres to Funko's signature stylized aesthetic, which emphasizes exaggerated proportions and simplified features to unify various pop culture icons under a single design language. As part of a line dedicated to horror cinema, Slim was intended to appeal to the dedicated community of genre fans who celebrate practical effects and 1980s independent cinema. The figure has been well-received by collectors who value the inclusion of niche cult films within mass-market collectible lines, serving as a tangible tribute to the enduring popularity of the Chiodo Brothers' work.
