Where it came from
The Slurpee Pop! figure, numbered 194 in the Ad Icons series, was released by Funko to celebrate the iconic frozen carbonated beverage introduced by 7-Eleven in the mid-1960s. The drink itself emerged from a serendipitous discovery involving a soda fountain machine, eventually becoming a staple of American pop culture known for its distinct colorful cups and revolving machines.
This collectible design captures the classic Slurpee cup aesthetic, complete with the signature domed lid and straw. Funko designed this figure as part of their broader initiative to pay homage to long-standing commercial mascots and brand icons, aiming to tap into the nostalgia associated with the convenience store experience. It was met with positive reception from fans of branded memorabilia who appreciate the historical influence of 7-Eleven on daily retail habits.
