Where it came from
The Snowtrooper Pop! figure, designated number 56 in the Star Wars series, was produced by Funko to commemorate the iconic specialized stormtroopers seen during the Battle of Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back. Released as part of Funko’s ongoing collaboration with Lucasfilm, the figure captures the distinct cold-weather gear of the Imperial troops, featuring the recognizable face mask, chest armor, and textured fabric elements translated into the signature stylized aesthetic of the Pop! line.
The design follows Funko’s established approach of oversized heads and simplified, minimalist features, focusing on the essential silhouette of the character. As an entry in the broader Star Wars collection, this figure was developed to appeal to both long-term franchise enthusiasts and collectors of the Pop! brand. It reflects the mid-2010s expansion of the Star Wars toy line, coinciding with a resurgence in merchandise interest during the lead-up to the sequel trilogy and the continued celebration of classic trilogy lore.
