Where it came from
The Stretch, Fatso, and Stinkie Pop! figures were released as part of Funko's Pop! Movies line to commemorate the 1995 live-action film Casper. The design captures the iconic 'Ghostly Trio' in the signature Funko aesthetic, featuring oversized heads and simplified, stylized bodies. These figures serve as a nostalgic nod to the film’s unique blend of dark humor and supernatural storytelling, appealing to both fans of the Harvey Comics source material and those who grew up with the Amblin-produced adaptation.
The design process for these figures focused on translating the distinct personalities of the three ghosts into the minimalist Funko format. Each figure was sculpted to reflect the specific traits associated with the characters: Stretch’s lanky build, Fatso’s rotund appearance, and Stinkie’s disheveled, mischievous look. Upon release, they were generally received as a charming tribute to mid-90s cinema, finding a place in collections that emphasize film history and retro pop culture iconography.
