Sweet Pea & Jeep (Black & White)

The Sweet Pea & Jeep Pop! vinyl figure, numbered 560 in the Pop! Animation line, draws directly from the classic Popeye the Sailor aesthetic. Released to commemorate the iconic status of the character, this figure captures Sweet Pea nestled in his signature makeshift vehicle. Funko design teams prioritized a blend of modern stylized aesthetics with the nostalgic charm of the original Fleischer Studios character designs, aiming to appeal to both long-time fans of the comic strip and contemporary collectors.

The release was part of Funko’s broader initiative to archive significant figures from pop culture history through their distinct vinyl medium. As with many pieces in the animation series, the design relies on the signature oversized head and simplified, bold features that define the brand. Reception was generally positive among collectors of vintage cartoon memorabilia, who appreciated the attention to the specific visual cues that define the relationship between the infant character and his transport.
