Where it came from
The Target Lady Funko Pop! figure, numbered 06 in the Saturday Night Live series, was released to celebrate the long-running comedic character portrayed by Kristen Wiig. Debuting on Saturday Night Live in 2005, the character became a fan favorite for her exaggerated enthusiasm and signature bob haircut, eventually becoming a recurring sketch staple that mocked the retail experience.
Funko designed this piece to capture the character's distinct aesthetic, featuring the iconic red polo and khaki attire associated with her retail persona. The figure was released as part of a broader push by Funko to expand their SNL collection, aiming to capture the likenesses of various iconic characters from the show's history. It was generally well-received by collectors of both Funko figures and SNL memorabilia as a nostalgic representation of a popular mid-2000s comedic archetype.
