Where it came from
Released in 2023 as part of the LEGO City subtheme focusing on modern urban infrastructure, the Car Wash 60362-1 was designed to provide a accessible, entry-level building experience for younger fans. The set reflects a shift in the City line toward smaller, modular builds that integrate seamlessly into larger town layouts while emphasizing common everyday scenes, such as vehicle maintenance and civic services.
The design prioritizes playability, featuring spinning brushes that mimic a real-world automatic car wash. By focusing on simplified construction techniques, the designers aimed to introduce children to basic mechanical concepts through LEGO elements. The set received positive attention from the community for its compact footprint and the inclusion of a functional play feature, marking it as a practical addition to the City ecosystem.
