LEGO Minifigures - Disney Series 2 - Complete

Released in 2019, the LEGO Minifigures Disney Series 2, identified by set number 71024, arrived as a follow-up to the successful 2016 inaugural series. These blind-bagged collectibles were designed to celebrate decades of Disney and Pixar animation, featuring an eclectic mix of characters ranging from classic icons like Mickey and Minnie Mouse in festive attire to modern favorites from films such as Frozen, The Incredibles, and DuckTales. The series was produced to capture the nostalgia of lifelong Disney fans while appealing to the playful nature of contemporary LEGO collectors.

The design of these minifigures focused on capturing distinct character expressions and thematic accessories, such as Scrooge McDuck’s coin or Hades’ flame hair piece. LEGO design teams utilized specialized molds to ensure the physical proportions matched the unique silhouettes of the animated characters. Upon release, the set was widely received as a high-quality iteration of the Collectible Minifigures line, praised for its detailed printing and the successful transition of complex animation designs into the constraints of the plastic minifigure form.
