LEGO Minifigures - Disney Series - Complete

Released in 2016, the LEGO Minifigure Disney Series (71012) marked the first time the company produced a blind-bag series dedicated entirely to Disney characters. The set emerged from the long-standing licensing partnership between The LEGO Group and The Walt Disney Company, aiming to capture both the adult collector market and the nostalgic appeal of classic animation. The series consists of 18 unique characters, spanning from foundational icons like Mickey and Minnie Mouse to contemporary favorites from films such as Lilo & Stitch and Toy Story.

The design of these minifigures was intended to push the boundaries of what the standard minifigure format could achieve, incorporating complex new molds for character-specific elements like Stitch’s ears, Ariel’s tail, and the intricate headpieces for characters like Maleficent. LEGO designers worked closely with Disney archivists to ensure the aesthetic fidelity of each figure, resulting in a series that was widely praised upon release for its high level of detail and character recognition, quickly becoming a milestone set for enthusiasts of both brands.
