Where it came from
Released in early 2022, the LEGO Minifigures Series 22 (71032) continued the company's long-standing tradition of offering blind-bagged, character-driven collectibles. Unlike licensed themes such as Star Wars or Marvel, this series features original designs intended to highlight diversity in character archetypes, ranging from historical figures like a Troubadour and a Roman Warrior to whimsical concepts like a Raccoon Costume Fan and a Space Creature. The design team at LEGO intended for these figures to act as standalone vignettes, encouraging imaginative play without the requirement of a larger building set.
The reception of Series 22 was largely positive among adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs), who praised the high level of detail, dual-molded pieces, and unique printed accessories such as the printed guitar and the transparent space helmets. As a sealed box, this item represents a complete set of the 12 individual characters, offering collectors the chance to acquire the full series without the randomness typically associated with the blind-bag distribution model. It remains a notable entry in the collectible minifigure line for its creative character variety and technical execution.
