Where it came from
Released in early 2023, the LEGO Minifigures Series 24 collection represents the 24th iteration of the long-running blind-bagged character series that debuted in 2010. This specific box, identified as 66733-1, acts as a retail bundle containing six mystery bags from the broader 12-character series. The collection was designed to celebrate diverse archetypes, including the T-Rex Costume Fan, the Rockin' Horse Rider, and the Robot Warrior, reflecting LEGO's continued focus on creative storytelling through individual character design.
The figures in this series were conceptualized by the LEGO design team to showcase a wide range of accessories and specialized printing techniques, such as dual-molded legs and detailed torso patterns. Upon release, Series 24 was well-received by the adult collector community and families alike, praised for its whimsical variety and the inclusion of unique elements like the falconer's bird and the newspaper-reading conservationist. The 66733 bundle format was introduced to provide consumers with a convenient sampling of the series, catering to those looking to jumpstart their collection.
