Where it came from
Released in early 2023, the LEGO Minifigures Series 24 (set 71037) marked the latest iteration of the long-running blind-bagged collectible series. These figures were introduced as part of a move toward sustainable packaging, marking the final series to be sold in traditional plastic bags before the company transitioned to paper-based materials for the collectible line. The series was designed to showcase a diverse range of imaginative characters, moving away from licensed properties to highlight the creativity of LEGO’s internal design team.
The character collection includes twelve unique minifigures, such as the T-Rex Costume Fan, the Rococo Aristocrat, and the Robot Warrior. These designs were praised by the AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO) community for their intricate printing, dual-molded accessories, and the inclusion of elements that were previously unavailable in those specific colors. By focusing on whimsical and historical archetypes, the series sought to appeal to both long-time collectors looking for unique parts and younger builders interested in creative play.
