Where it came from
Released in 2014 as part of the LEGO City Great Vehicles sub-theme, the 60059 Logging Truck was designed to showcase specialized industrial machinery within a modular urban environment. The set features a rugged forest-green truck equipped with a functional crane arm and a set of log segments, reflecting the series' focus on interactive play features that mimic real-world utility vehicles found in daily life.
The design emphasizes durability and playability, favoring a sturdy chassis and a realistic mechanical claw mechanism for loading the plastic logs. It was well-received by fans and collectors for its focused scope, offering a self-contained construction experience that fit seamlessly into larger City layouts, ultimately remaining a recognizable entry in the mid-2010s collection of municipal and heavy-duty vehicles.
